It's been a journey since I jotted the blog pages, and while I have missed the tapping of the keys, there is something cathartic in not touching digital things.
But digital is the way of the future so they say, and my itchings to move and twitch upon the keys rekindle. So I guess I'll get more regular. I've given the old a facelift, cleaned out some of the trash, and am ready to start once again. Like a Phoenix, I'll probably stutter and cough as I emerge from the depths... but as Hollow as a harlot can be... I'll fill your world with my amazingness. Soon. Go buy some shit for now so I can stay home and plan my domination. http://linktr.ee/hollowharlot Churrs bishes, Bella

Well that was a bit of a hiatus. Some slept; Some did online workouts and had full schedules of zoom meetings; Some created whole new empires while the world around them wept. Me? Bittersweet reverie is the best term. I did alot of things during the break. I also did a bucketload of nothing. But I did make a lot of decisions. And started to implement some huge changes to the businesses I'm involved in, and the companies I run. I'm stubborn. What can I say? ;) HQ's getting a facelift. The countdown has begun. My soul has found its place. Churrs bishes, this is gona be a heck of a ride. <3 Bella QOTD: "There's gona be some tears, gona be some struggles. But girl you know I got you wrapped up in a shiny irridecent bubble" - Bella Von Doll Today is the day that the AAPC formally opens for 2020. And it's the most excited I've been for a long time! Our 2019 season was absolutely mind blowing. We got to travel to Victoria, twice and see some of the most amazing shows the competition has yet seen. But you're still not sure what AAPC is?? Well... I'm here to help. :) The Australian Amateur Performer Competition started in South Australia in 2012, as a combined pole and burlesque competition, catering to the amateurs, and non-professionals of the arts/sport.
Over the last 8 years, we've now grown to include pagentry, as well as the skill based categories. In 2020, we will have 4 categories for competition, with 2 including monthly contests, open to entrants across Australia! - Pole Performer (heats held in SA, Vic and Qld) - Burlesque Beauty (finals in NSW) - Pinup Pageant and Pinup Princess calendar comp - Inked Idols and Inked Idol In-print calendar comp Each of these categories is split into divisions of age (pageants) or level (skill based) and 2019 we had nearly 50 national titles handed out. We've been steadily growing and this year, we'll be hitting 4 states with heats and finals. From humble beginnings, the AAPC is now it's own mini empire. And we want you to be a part. Because we can't do it without amazing businesses, people and performers. Competitors, Sponsors, Professional judges... if you have something to do with any of the industries - we want to hear from you. 🖤 Find out more about what the AAPC is on the web and socials www.AustralianAmateurPerformerComeptition.com Instagram.com/AustralianAmateur Churrs bishes! 9 years. QOTD: "Be a Boss, Date a boss, Build an empire" 2019 has been a year of growth, and reflection for me; and it's been some of the most amazing moments of my life thus far.
I'm pretty lucky in my jobs to be able to see some amazing things and go to some amazing places, and while I often take photos for posterity, I often don't share these moments. So in 2020, I'll be adding to my writing/documenting/instagramming and doing a little photo feature - s u n d a y - s p a c e s - via gram and here. The plan is... 26 weeks - Starting January 26th, on a Sunday. 2 captions - Location, Feeling. Let's see how it goes ;) Remember: Glitter is Lyfe. Churrs bishes. QOTD: "You give me the kind of feeling novels are about" For as long as I can remember... I've loved words.
Writing, talking, whatever form they come in. I also love things. Many things. So I thought, why keep so many of these opinions to myself? In the past I've been paid to speak my mind, and translate other people's words, but now, you get it all.... for nothing. Freebies. Speaking of which, I will have some of them for you too! Giveaways and prizes - you shall be rewarded for reading my rantings. Not today, but soon :) Bella's Bits are both musings about my favourites, and tids of info that will keep a showgirl sparkly or homebody happy. Coming in the form of (my fav) dot pointed focus points and elaboration. Maybe some pics. Instead of an example... I'll just give you the first installment. BELLA'S BITS #1 - 13 things to keep you occupied. Let's face it... boredom is a killer. Slay that non-play with these 13 things you can set your mind (or bits) to. 1. Bubble Bath Nuff said. Spend the money on a decent bath bomb or bubbles and indulge. Read, Eat Laksa, Listen to tunes... it's your time, make it colourful and fun. (Hint- Check places like OhDeerSugar or Scented Soul... not the bigger names) 2. Scent Bomb I recently found pure essential oils... IN MUSK STICKS SMELL!! For $15 whole dollars I got a 30ml bottle, and 4 mini spray bottles. I promptly filled the bottles with water, added scent, and now... my entire house and wardrobe smells like musk sticks. 3. Colouring And I don't mean get a generic book and colour pencils... Find a way to insert some colour in your life. Change the pics on the wall, Make some new cushion covers, Change your hair colour, It can be as drastic or as bland as you like. 4. Marie it "If it doesn't bring you joy..." maybe don't throw it in the bin... but you could try ebaying it? Or make a box for your local shelter. They'll appreciate it. 5. Bling it Be as cheap, or as extra as you like... but add glitter and rhinestones. To everything. 6. Walk 30 mins in the big wide world will do you wonders. Just breathe, and observe the surrounds. 7. Colour it Rearrange your wardrobe into colour coded sections. So, frikkin, satisfying. 8. Swipe and Wipe For those who like makeup - Wash that face, pull out those palettes... and PAINT DAT FACE GRRL. But this time, change it up, and do something completely out of your comfort zone. Who cares if you stuff up, it's make up. Wash it off. Start again ;) 9. Practice Whatever it is you like to do. Dance? Draw? Throw rocks in a lake? Practice makes perfect, and you never know... you might get good. 10. Be a bad ass on camera Noone else needs to see it.. but why can't you do a photoshoot at home? Or record yourself singing on stage to 10,000 people (OK, in your bedroom with a hairbrush and a mirror) Glam it, Belt it out, Pose it up... Feel good for being you. 11. Build your brain Reading is fab. And if you hate reading? Find an audio book! Knowledge is power pretty ones. 12. Bake My fav boredom buster? Baking. Rewards come in the form of sugary glutenous products. Amazing, if you like that sort of thing. 13. Sleep If all else fails..... sleep it off. Isn't 12 ideas enough? And there you have, 13 ways to beat the boredom. When "cleaning the pipes" gets boring anyway ;) Remember to point your effin toes. Churrs bishes. 🖤 QOTD: in picture Exactly a month.
That's how long I've been planning out content, taking a breather from adulting, and doing general housekeeping duties on a changing business. And neglecting to actually post anything. I mean come on! Who starts a blog to actually write anything? Not me obviously. Haha. But it's all with good purpose.... I've been setting up shop and getting ready for my 10th year in business! And gawd... let's just say, I didn't expect to be here when I walked into my boss's office all those years ago in my PJs still and told him I "probs wasn't going to be coming back. I'd lost the drive to even get dressed to go to work anymore". But I'm here. Doing amazing things and living what I can only assume, is part of my best life. And the rest? Well, that comes in 2020 when I can finally combine it all under 1 roof. My "Parlour". Boutique studio and the place I can call "business home". Some people are afraid of change... I... revel. There are 4 main areas in my life that all link together artistic qualities with vintage, dance, fashion, style and networking. And I'm the sort of girl who wants it all. Now, I'll get it all. By bringing in new things, and doing away with some of the things that are more like weights than uplifting vibes, I hope to envoke a cosy gathering of amazing ideas and creative adventures to our little space. Get ready for some fun and frivolity.... 2020 is going to be ah-freekin-mazing. More links and shizz and things coming soon. Chuurs bishes! Remember...
