Today is the day that the AAPC formally opens for 2020. And it's the most excited I've been for a long time! Our 2019 season was absolutely mind blowing. We got to travel to Victoria, twice and see some of the most amazing shows the competition has yet seen. But you're still not sure what AAPC is?? Well... I'm here to help. :) The Australian Amateur Performer Competition started in South Australia in 2012, as a combined pole and burlesque competition, catering to the amateurs, and non-professionals of the arts/sport.
Over the last 8 years, we've now grown to include pagentry, as well as the skill based categories. In 2020, we will have 4 categories for competition, with 2 including monthly contests, open to entrants across Australia! - Pole Performer (heats held in SA, Vic and Qld) - Burlesque Beauty (finals in NSW) - Pinup Pageant and Pinup Princess calendar comp - Inked Idols and Inked Idol In-print calendar comp Each of these categories is split into divisions of age (pageants) or level (skill based) and 2019 we had nearly 50 national titles handed out. We've been steadily growing and this year, we'll be hitting 4 states with heats and finals. From humble beginnings, the AAPC is now it's own mini empire. And we want you to be a part. Because we can't do it without amazing businesses, people and performers. Competitors, Sponsors, Professional judges... if you have something to do with any of the industries - we want to hear from you. 🖤 Find out more about what the AAPC is on the web and socials www.AustralianAmateurPerformerComeptition.com Instagram.com/AustralianAmateur Churrs bishes! 9 years.
